Overview of District’s Public Works Projects Bidding Process
For projects less than $300,000, Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District utilizes a share small works roster to solicit bids for public works construction projects.  The shared small works roster is administered by the Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC).  The MRSC Small Public Works Roster is an online system used by multiple Washington State counties, cities and special districts to connect with businesses who would like to provide construction, repair, or maintenance services for small public works projects under $300,000.00.  Per State Statute, RCW 39.04.155, public agencies may choose to use a roster as an alternative to advertising its project.  Contractors interested in signing up to be on the shared roster can find more information online or by calling MRSC at (206) 625-1300.

Projects valued more than $300,000 are advertised in The Bellingham Herald.
