Request for Bids: Agate Heights Water Treatment Plant Upgrades

Lake Whatcom Water and Sewer District (“District”) will receive sealed Bid proposals for the following project:

TITLE: Agate Height Water Treatment Plant Upgrades (District Project #C1814-CON)

SUMMARY OF WORK: Replace an existing manganese removal treatment system with new 60 gpm package treatment system, telemetry panel, and associated appurtenances. The project location is in Bellingham, Washington.

ESTIMATED BASE BID COST RANGE: $175,000 – $225,000

SUBMITTAL TIME/DATE/LOCATION: Prior to Wednesday, December 16, 2020

Public Bid Opening will commence at approximately 2:10 P.M. The District office is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. The project bid opening will be broadcast live to the public using an online meeting platform. The day before the bid opening an e-mail with an invitation and instructions to join the bid opening will be sent to all Plan Holders on the list maintained by WCR Plan Center.

PRE-BID MEETING: A non-mandatory pre-Bid meeting will be held at the project site (3320 Sunny Cove Ct.) at 10:00 A.M. PST, Wednesday, December 2, 2020, for the purpose of answering questions from prospective Bidders. In accordance with CDC and State requirements, face masks are required and 6-foot social distancing from all persons will be enforced.

Documents can be viewed at WCR Plan Center, 2215 Midway Lane, Suite 208, Bellingham, WA 98226 (360) 738-0370. The District Office is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. Contractors who want to view the plans and specifications that are held at the District office will need to make alternate arrangements. Contract documents and plan holders’ list can be obtained from Applied Digital Imaging, 1803 N. State Street, Bellingham, WA 98225 (360) 671-9465 (allow 24-hour notice for printing).
Award of the contract(s) will be to the lowest responsive responsible Bidder.
